Pakistan’s economy has been growing rapidly due to which a number of well-known car companies have been revealing their plans for producing their vehicles within the country. Recently JAC Motor, a Chinese state-owned car company based in Anhui province of China also disclosed their plans of bringing electric cars to Pakistan.
Talking to the Press Media of Pakistan, The deputy chief economy manager Mr.David Zhang confirmed the news about the company’s plans. In his interview, he stated, “We are planning to introduce new energy vehicles particularly electric cars in the Pakistani market under a long-term development program in the future. With more improvement in the economy and fundamental structure ready, we will have an opportunity to take our electric car into Pakistani market. The performance of our products in the local market has been very good and we will expand our lines of production from medium to heavy-duty trucks in near future.”
JAC Motor is aiming to expand the company’s production line in Pakistan; the decision seems to be quite well planned as Hybrid are being imported overnight by a lot Pakistanis since the last year. So it’s the best time for any Car Company to start producing these cars within the country.
JAC Motor believe that their cars can be produced and sold at a very appealing price in Pakistan, these cars will be economical in terms of mileage and we all know that the demand for low-cost vehicles is significantly high in the country, therefore; they will be attracting a lot of bargain hunters.
JAC Motor is already exporting its light commercial vehicles in association with Ghandara Nissan, to Pakistan. Since the CPEC project has started, a lot of development has been witnessed in every sector of Pakistan including automobile sector. This is a great step towards prosperity as it would be beneficial for both the countries.
